We believe that every portrait is special. We cherish our children's portraits, and we know our clients cherish their
children's portraits. We also know that as the years go by those portraits become even more special. We have
photographed many weddings where the bride and groom displayed portraits from their childhood. There are always
school pictures along with family snapshots. We want to give every parent pictures that they love, and will continue to
enjoy for years.
We respect each child we photograph. We take it slow with the kids: we get down to their level and introduce ourselves,
we talk about things like what foods they like or what shows they watch. Sometimes we tell the kids about our kids,
especially if they are a little nervous. Knowing we have children too seems to make them more at ease with us. We want
the children to be comfortable, to give us natural smiles, and to walk away feeling special.
We also take time to make sure that their hair and clothes look nice, even if that means stopping to wash a face or re-do a
barrette. It takes us a little longer to take pictures, but we think it's worth it.
